Wittenberg - Birthplace of the Reformation
A journey into the world of Martin Luther and Lucas Cranach
Workshops - Guided tours - Overnight stays at Cranach-Hof
It is well known that knowledge can be acquired most sustainably through direct experience and practical action. To grasp the significance of the Reformation for intellectual and social life, a trip to the city of the Reformation is worthwhile: Lutherstadt Wittenberg. Here you can encounter the work of several important personalities of the Reformation.
Lucas Cranach, an important and famous Renaissance painter and friend of Martin Luther, ran a world-famous painting workshop in Wittenberg. Today, in the lovingly restored Cranach-Hof in Schlossstraße 1, you will find a youth art school that does cultural education work in the spirit of Cranach. We offer workshops on various topics for confirmation candidates.
For confirmation groups staying longer in the city, we can offer overnight accommodation in the quarters of the Cranach Hostel, directly in the courtyard at Schlossstraße 1. They have a kitchen for self-catering on the floor or can use the breakfast service. The hostel has a seminar room for group work. The courtyard and garden can also be used by arrangement.
